Trail Chili
2 lbs. ground beef 1 large onion, diced 28 oz. can diced tomatoes 2 cans tomato puree, 8 oz. each 1 or 2 cans kidney beans undrained, 16 oz. each 4 oz. diced green chilies 1 cup water 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 T. mild chili powder 2 t. salt 2 t. ground cumin 1 t. pepper
Brown beef and onion in skillet. Drain. Place in slow cooker on high. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook on high 30 minutes. Reduce heat to low. Cook 4 to 6 hours. Note: Top individual servings with shredded cheese. Serve with taco chips.
