Natural to Spiritual Growth...Hardening Seedlings... Body: A seedling which is never hardened off through stressful situations, will never become a strong productive plant.
After starting my plants inside over the cold winter months, the warm winds usher in a new season. The new plants are ready for spreading their roots in soil, without limitations from containers.
Their first day outside, I place them in full shade. By days end they are facing towards the sun, yet are still protected by the shade. Direct sun would be too much all at once on their delicate leaves. Taking them inside at night, the next morning I place them in the early direct sun for an hour and then back into the shade until night fall. This adjustment process continues on until they are able to face a full day on their own without conditional limits. Some never make it through the process, they wither away. Was change or the process too much? Inside conditions were predictable, limited, yet they remained physically weak, not able to survive through seasonal conditions or changes. This sounds like bondage, not freedom. (Gal5:1) Could this hold true through ones natural to spiritual walk/change?
God knows our comfortable lives can be an anchor to our souls. Day one outside: 1Co3:2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Day 2: 1 Pe2:2b pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation. Day 3: Eph4:15 grow up into Him Day 4: 2Cor3:18 from glory to glory Day 5: 2Pe3:18 grow in grace and knowledge Ecc 3:1 Psm 32:8
Whisper: Growing pains, Spiritual gains. Growing in Christ is true change that you can count on
